Password

Global Password

Student’s Active Directory/computer login password is their global password allowing them to access all systems – Computers, WebAdvisor, and Windows Live Email. See below to see how this is set.

When Do I Receive My Passwords and what are they?

Active Directory/Computer Login If you are a new student, your initial password for your login to the computer will be your birthday in the format of an 8 digit number (i.e., 01011990). The permanent, final password is set when a student logs into a computer on campus for the first time and is prompted to change it or visits the password change link found at

WebAdvisor – Upon application, Students receive a WebAdvisor password that can be used immediately to access WebAdvisor. The initial password is the student’s 8 digit birthday. The password will prompt you to change it. However, as mentioned above, once a student is enrolled in classes and is added to Active Directory, this password becomes your global password for access to all systems regardless of what the initial WebAdvisor password is set to.

Office 365 Email – Student’s Office 365 email password is the same as their Active Directory/computer login password.

Students are able to create and open Microsoft Office Documents straight from their Microsoft SkyDrive login session via a web browser. This means that you can create or edit your Microsoft Office documents on a computer that does not have Microsoft Office installed. All you need is a web browser and your Microsoft SkyDrive login.

Look here for links and info on Office Web Apps and its components. In the meantime, feel free to try it out.
